01 · The product
A place for recipes and the work around them.
Flavour File began as an independent recipe software project: make recipe information easier to organise, use and adapt rather than leave it across disconnected notes.
The deployed application includes public landing and login routes, protected recipe pages and a public sourdough converter. Account sign-up is currently disabled.
What I did
- Product structure
- Authentication boundaries
- Responsive frontend
02 · A useful specialist tool
Explain the calculation; do not invent precision.
The public sourdough converter helps translate a recipe using transparent baker's maths and normalised exact mass units.
Ambiguous volume conversions are treated conservatively instead of presenting an unsupported precise answer. It is an example of deterministic product behaviour rather than an AI-generated guess.
What I did
- Domain-specific UI
- Deterministic calculations
- Explicit validation
03 · Where it stands
Deployed does not mean pilot-ready.
Flavour File v2 has been deployed and its core public routes verified. Recipe routes require authentication, and the public converter is available without an account.
Onboarding, accessibility and pilot readiness still need separate acceptance. This project does not claim an open registration flow, collaboration or paying subscribers.
The result
A working foundation with a clear next gate.
A deployed recipe application and a public conversion tool. A broader pilot requires a verified onboarding and user-experience gate before it can be described as ready for customers.
