About
I’m Gabi Norrman. I make digital work usable and dependable.
by Gabi is my independent practice, bringing design, frontend engineering and accessibility together with practical AI systems.
Better isn’t a polish pass. It’s how the whole thing works.
Good digital work should work for the people using it, the business behind it, search engines trying to understand it, assistive technology, and whoever has to maintain it after launch.
That’s why I move between design, code, accessibility, search, content, AI and systems when the problem calls for it.
Background
My professional experience includes work at Open Universities Australia. That experience informs the care I bring to digital products: how people use them, how teams maintain them, and how changes are tested.
How I work
I started from design, moved deeply into frontend engineering, and kept finding the same pattern: the best digital work happens when usability, accessibility and technical quality are treated as the same problem.
My strongest work turns recurring frontend problems into shared systems — better component behaviour, clearer design-system knowledge, stronger tests and CI, more useful documentation, safer AI-assisted workflows and less friction for the people who use and maintain the product.
by Gabi is the consultancy version of that approach. For smaller businesses I can own a website from strategy through launch. For product teams I can go deep on accessibility, frontend architecture, design systems and practical AI workflows.
I use AI heavily, but I don’t sell magic. Models are one part of a system. Good boundaries, reliable data, deterministic software, verification and human judgement still matter.
Principle
Build things that respect people’s time, attention and ability to use them.
